                My DeLhi
Delhi is the traditional and present day capital of India. It is the third largest city of the world. It is also the second largest metropolis after Mumbai with a population of over 13 million. Delhi is also one of the oldest continually inhabited cities of India.
Delhi stands in a triangle formed by the Yamuna river in the east and spurs from the Aravalli range in the west and south. It is surrounded by Haryana on all sides except east where it borders with Uttar Pradesh, Delhi has a semi-arid climate with high variation between summer and winter temperature.
Being the Capital of India, Delhi is the centre stage of all political activities. After Independence on 15th August 1947, Delhi was officially declared as the Capital of republic. The 69th constitutional amendment is a milestone in Delhi's history. In 1991, Delhi was declared as the National Capital Territory. The National Capital Territory comprise nine districts, 158 villages and 62 towns.
Delhi is not only the largest commercial centre in northern India, but also the largest centre of small industries. Each year Delhi draw a huge number of tourists. Delhi's culture is diverse because of huge influx of migrants from different pars of the country. The amalgamation of various companies, traditions and religion has painted Delhi in colors which are brought all over India.
A land of immigrants, a place where for centuries people have come, lived, traded, fought wars and travelled on. I simply love all that Delhi has to offer...

It is a place where history has left indelible marks – signs of which can be seen even today. Be it the Purana Qila, Qutab Minar or Humayun’s tomb, the city has old and new historical monuments that tell many tales.
India consists of twenty eight states and almost each one of them is unique in their food, their traditional attire, their festivals and language. Delhi is probably the one place where one can find a representation of people from each and every state of the rest of India.Delhi has alluring charm, unique diverse culture and history to be proud of.

India’s astounding diversity of religions, languages and cultures is unique and unparalleled. The society of the vast subcontinent, varied and complex in its rich heritage is among the oldest in the world. Five thousand years of history have nourished the growth of a great civilization. It has been vitalized through cross cultural contact and characterized by unity in diversity of culture, race, caste, religion and language

It has beauteous and harlequin green forests, a varied variety of flora and fauna, and has many rivers flowing through its fertile lands. The Himalayas adorn India like a majestic crown on the head of an equally magnificent beauty.
The people of India are warm and welcoming, always believing in the policy that guests should be treated like how God would be.

The oceans that wash it's coasts on three sides have given my country natural frontiers from sides. My country, because of the many beautiful locations, is the craze of tourists. My country, the country of mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes is a fit abode for the gods, Ooty, Niligiris and the temples of south India, as Kajuraho, Ajanta, and Ellora caves are the places we can boost of.
